| STADIUM PLACE YMCA Baltimore, MD Ripken Design is collaborating with Thurston Companies and Timmons Group to once again bring baseball back to one of the most historic sites in baseball history: Memorial Stadium. Locating home plate in the same location as Old Memorial Stadium's home plate, the new Memorial Stadium will be a 2/3 sized replica. A removable centerfield fence will allow for a full football field to be laid out in the same orientation as it was during Baltimore Colts games. Plans call for the Original Letters from Memorial Stadium's historic entryway to be refurbished and placed along the hillside that forms that backdrop of the north end of the property. |
